Are you a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next career challenge?

Blueprint Recruitment has a brilliant new opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global sustainable development Consultancy, on a permanent basis.

This position is based in Birmingham or Nottingham and requires the successful candidate to be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Mechanical inputs are correctly designed and installed.

Key Responsibilities:

· The design and delivery of building services systems

· Directing the comfort and thermal analysis of buildings and spaces

· Managing the production of models, drawings and reports

·  Have a ‘hands on’ design approach

· Taking a lead on projects

· Ensure projects are within budgets and timescales

· Support more junior team members

· Liaise with other Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers

· Maintain and develop positive client relations

Key Requirements:

· A degree in an Engineering subject

· Chartered Engineer status

· Experience in the Building Services Engineering field

· Wide range of hands-on experience for a variety of projects

· Ability to provide guidance and training to staff

· Working knowledge of Energy and Carbon sustainable building design

· Experience in predicting, planning and managing resource requirements

· Efficient communication skills, both written and verbal

Previous experience using energy modelling software, ideally IES
