This job opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer is one you don’t want to miss!

Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an international Consultancy, on a permanent staff basis in Cardiff.  

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Mechanical inputs are correctly designed and installed.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and delivery of Mechanical services systems

· Managing the production of models, drawings and reports

· Taking a lead on projects

· Ensure projects are within budgets and timescales

· Support more junior team members

· Liaise with other Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers

· Maintain and develop positive client relations

· Delivery of work in line with ACE, RIBA and BSRIA frameworks

Ensure projects are delivered within budgets and timescales

· Attend client and project meetings when required

Key Requirements:

· A degree in an Engineering subject

· Chartered Engineer status

· Experience in the Building Services Engineering field

· Wide range of hands-on experience for a variety of projects

· Ability to provide guidance and training to staff

· Working knowledge of Energy and Carbon sustainable building design

· Experience in predicting, planning and managing resource requirements

· Efficient communication skills, both written and verbal

· Excellent knowledge of Sustainability measures
