Fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Specialist!

Blueprint Recruitment are looking for a talented Procurement Specialist to join a reputable energy services company on a permanent basis. This role offers hybrid working, competitive benefits, and the chance to make an impact on high-value procurement projects within the construction, civil engineering, and utilities sectors.

Our client is a leading energy services company, specialising in delivering essential services to the utilities, transport, telecom, and energy sectors. They operate through a network of businesses, offering expertise in everything from design and construction to maintenance and emergency response.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies with the Strategic Procurement Lead, aligning with overall supply chain goals.
  • Negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers, focusing on high-value and high-risk agreements.
  • Monitor and present supply chain performance metrics, including cost, quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Support bid teams by providing procurement input and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Drive supply chain innovation through collaboration and strategic relationship management.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, addressing non-conformance issues, and sharing lessons learned across the business.
  • Manage procurement for categories such as sub-contracts, materials, or plant and fleet, with flexibility to adapt to business needs.

Requirements:

  • Extensive procurement experience, ideally in bids or category management within construction, civil engineering, or utilities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage strict deadlines and thrive in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in IT tools including Microsoft Office, Oracle, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and results-driven with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
