Here at Blueprint Recruitment we are looking for an experienced and driven Resident Engineer to join one of our top-tier clients – a global leader in engineering services. This is a fantastic contract opportunity working 3 days per week on site in Southwest England, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-impact projects in a technically challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage on-site engineering work to make sure it meets technical and safety standards.

-Be the main link between the engineering team and site staff, helping to solve technical issues.

-Organise inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure work meets regulations and client needs.

-Keep track of contractor progress and deal with any risks early.

-Report regularly on-site activity and keep key people informed.

-Help improve and update engineering designs during construction when needed.

Key Requirements:

-A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related discipline).

-Chartered Engineer status or working toward chartership is preferred.

-Proven experience in a site-based engineering role, ideally within a regulated or safety-critical industry (e.g. defence, energy, infrastructure).

-Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering standards, and project delivery best practices.

-Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

-Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and quality systems.
