Our client is providing the flexibility to work on an exciting Nuclear project on a hybrid basis, requiring the selected candidate to attend the Manchester office just 1 day per week! As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Mechanical inputs are correctly designed and installed, whilst working with an established team. This site-based position is located in Chelmsford and will see the successful candidate driving forward a high value infrastructure programme for Cadent Gas as part of our client Gad Operations Team. Our client is a leading service provider in the Gas Distribution and Transmission infrastructure sectors in the UK. They are responsible for the delivery of multiple long-term frameworks across the UK, from pipeline diversion to large civil engineering projects. Due to their increasing workload, they are on the lookout for a seasoned project manager to join their dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the integrated project teams to safely deliver the portfolio of projects in line with contracts and frameworks. Effectively manager resources to ensure the most cost-effective model is deployed. Manage costs throughout the life cycle of each project. Support future tenders to ensure longevity of contracts. Monitor/review and deliver commercial expectations and quality standards. Sustainable reduction in delivery costs to bring the required efficiencies on the programme. Ensure alignment with our client’s vision through delivery of the contract. Build/develop and maintain relationship with the client and gas construction senior team. Successful delivery of performance management model Build skilled and sustainable team to support programme delivery. Key contributor to the delivery vehicle strategy to ensure sustainable performance and secure contract extension. Skills and knowledge requirements: Previous experience at project management level in a similar environment is essential. Principal CAD Technician – Fully Remote! Blueprint Recruitment are seeking a skilled Senior/Principal CAD Technician to join a leading tier one contractor on a permanent, remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of national grid HV Substations projects. This role involves coordinating design projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of CAD outputs for substation work. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in CAD for electrical projects, who is ready to lead and innovate while supporting high-quality project outcomes. If you're experienced in HV substation CAD and thrive in a leadership role, this position offers a great career opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and maintenance of policy, processes, and training manuals for substation CAD outputs. Ensure the quality of all substation CAD deliverables and provide training for team members in CAD delivery. Produce tender and contract drawings, as well as technical documentation for projects. Deliver technical 2D and 3D CAD drawing services, including substation steelwork detailing, OHL assets, conductor fittings, and OHL profile drawings. Collaborate with other department members and liaise with OHL CAD technicians to ensure efficient project delivery. Contribute to project briefings, team meetings, and design review discussions with engineers and technicians. Assist in maintaining CAD technical libraries and develop external CAD resources. Maintain communication with internal and external clients and ensure project requirements are met.
