Construction Support Engineer / Design Manager – Infrastructure (Contract) Location: Aylesbury / Brackley (Hybrid – 3 Days per Week in Office) Rate: £420–£490 per day (Inside IR35) Job Type: Contract – 12 Months Hours: 40 hours per week Start Date: ASAP An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Support Engineer or Design Manager to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project based in the Aylesbury / Brackley area. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on Design Manager with 3–5 years’ experience, looking to take ownership of design coordination and project delivery within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring design delivery, coordination and project support activities are completed efficiently, safely and in line with programme requirements. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the Brackley office, with site and office collaboration forming a key part of the position. Key Responsibilities As a Construction Support Engineer / Design Manager, your responsibilities will include: Supporting the delivery of design and construction activities across infrastructure projects Taking ownership of design coordination and delivery responsibilities Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams Ensuring design outputs meet project standards, specifications and programme requirements Liaising with project stakeholders, engineers and site teams Supporting the resolution of technical and design-related issues Monitoring project progress and ensuring design deliverables are met on time Contributing to a collaborative and efficient project delivery environment Requirements To be considered for this Construction Support Engineer / Design Manager role, candidates should have: 3–5 years’ experience as a Design Manager or similar role Experience working on infrastructure or construction projects Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery processes Ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to take ownership and be accountable for project delivery Essential: CSCS card Ability to commute to Brackley office (3 days per week) Contract Details 12-month contract Inside IR35 £420–£490 per day Hybrid working – 3 days per week in Brackley office 40 hours per week If you are a Design Manager or Construction Support Engineer looking to take ownership of delivery on a major infrastructure project, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile programme within a collaborative engineering environment.
