Blueprint Recruitment are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy on a long-term contract basis in Hertfordshire. This position provides the selected candidate with a fantastic opportunity to work on the UK’s largest rail project, HS2. If selected, you will be required to operate on-site 3 days per week. Our client As a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, our client carries out complex and innovative construction projects all around the world. The company has a long history of operating in a variety of sectors, including Transportation, Geotechnical, Nuclear, and Renewable Energy. Due to their increasing workload, they are looking for a motivated and experienced site based Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team. Key responsibilities: · Design foundations that retain structures and earthworks · Build and maintain relationships with clients and other professionals involved in the site · Maintain safety standards on site · Make recommendations that are efficient and cost effective · Investigate risks or geological hazards for the site · Liaise with a variety of stakeholders and site professionals Key requirements: · Extensive technical design experience within a Geotechnical environment · Previous experience with construction site support · Previous experience using Plaxis, Oasys and Wallap would be preferred · Ability to address contractor queries · Able to represent the designers · Previous HS2 experience is a desirable but not essential For further information on this opportunity, please contact Millie Kerr on 02392 603030 or email millie.kerr@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
