Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are seeking a Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant to join a leading engineering consultancy, in a permanent position. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis, from our client’s office located in Basingstoke, 3 days a week. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of engineers and professionals, working on projects centred around rail, infrastructure, utilities, and energy. -Competitive salary ranging from £65,000-£75,000 (depending on experience). -Company pension scheme, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. Responsibilities: -Produce ground models, investigate contamination risks, and suggest and implement effective remedies or ways of preventing or limiting those risks. -Conduct environmental and geotechnical site inspections and analysis, collecting and reporting data for effective documentation and records. -Maintain up-to-date records and documentation, specifications, and design feedback. -Inform clients and stakeholders of the potential risks that could arise during the design and implementation stages. -Ensure that all on-going, and planned works, align with Health and Safety, and CDM, regulations and polices, as well as environmental legislations. -Analyse designs and documents from other professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory and technical requirements. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geology, and/or Environmental Science Engineering, or a related field. -At, or working towards, a charted status, with prior experience working on environmental and geotechnical projects. -Extensive experience leading and managing teams, as well as possessing business development experience. -Solid grasp of current environmental and geotechnical principles and testing techniques. -Strong communicator, with the ability to build and maintain rapport with multidisciplinary teams and clients. -Willingness to do hands-on work, when required. MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Blueprint Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client’s office in Basingstoke, 2-3 days a week. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a complex healthcare project, with a great team of engineers and professionals. -Competitive day rate of £400 (depending on experience) -Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days on-site) Responsibilities: -Design and technical review, problem-solving, and overseeing responsibilities like design management, combined with opportunities for hands-on design work. -Produce accurate mechanical designs, specifications, and calculations for building systems. -Collaborate with clients and other professionals throughout the lifespan of the projects. -Attend site visits to inspect and examine the project’s progress and ensure the design is being implemented properly. -Ensure that all designs comply with the project specifications and requirements. -Assist with the planning process of the project as well as carrying out risk assessments, and technical approvals. As the successful candidate you will be required work on a hybrid basis, from the client’s Basingstoke office, 2-3 days a week. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of constructure, infrastructure, and property development projects, as a valued member of a dynamic team of engineers and professionals. -Competitive day rate of £400 (depending on experience) -Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days on-site) Responsibilities: -Produce concise electrical system designs focusing on project layouts, schematics, plant schedules, performance calculations, and specifications. -Ensure all designs follow current regulations, standards, and building codes, and keep reports and documents up-to-date and accurate. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the project is progressing efficiently and effectively. -Assist in the construction phase by looking at contractor submissions, settling design queries and attending site visits and inspections. -Find and implement cost and energy solutions, to make the project more efficient, whilst taking lighting, power usage, energy conservation, and control systems into consideration. -Design and technical review, problem-solving, and overseeing responsibilities like design management, combined with opportunities for hands-on design work. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a similar field. -Prior experience working on moderate to large-scale electrical building services projects, with a focus on power, controls, lighting, and distribution. -Proficient understanding of design and modelling tools, including AutoCAD, BIM, and Revit. -Solid grasp of current electrical and safety standards, regulations, and commissioning processes. -Time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work with project changes and constraints.
