SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN

We are working on behalf of a world class building consultancy, based in Brentwood, who are looking for a seasoned Senior Architectural Technician to lead their project delivery operations, whilst supporting architectural teams through each phase of development. Responsibilities: -Monitor the production and development of intricate architectural designs, drawings, specifications, and documentation, across various residential and healthcare projects. -Ensure all design works and outputs adhere to client requirements and expectations, whilst also complying with industry standards, regulations, and codes. -Attend regular site visits, inspecting ongoing works, enabling pre-emptive issue identification and resolution, implementing corrective and preventative measures. -Work alongside professional teams, across various disciplines, ensuring clarity and transparency with project and design plans, ensuring accuracy and consistency. -Support and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical oversight to nurture their professional development, further ensuring consistent best practices. Requirements: -Significant demonstrable experience as a Senior Architectural Technician, or a relevant position, guiding project teams across various healthcare and residential projects. -Strong understanding of UK building standards and regulations, construction codes and practices, and technical detailing, in line with RIBA principles. -Sound technical background, with an understanding of the use of AutoCAD software, but a proficiency with Revit will be useful at a later stage. -Profound leadership initiatives, with the ability to arrange site visits and reviews, identify and resolve constructability issues, and ensure design intent adherence. -Proficient team and stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills, with a strong problem-solving mindset, and a drive for business development. Attention all Senior Architectural Technicians! Are you searching for your next role, hoping for fulfilment and purpose? We are supporting a well-established building consultancy in their search of a skilled Senior Architectural Technician. Our client is offering the opportunity to join their architectural team on a contract basis, outside IR35, to create and develop detailed designs for a range of healthcare and residential projects. This opportunity offers hybrid working in the Brentwood office. -Competitive rate of £28 to £30 per hour (subject to experience). -Hybrid working arrangement. Responsibilities: -Oversee the creation and development of detailed architectural drawings, documentation, and specifications, with the use of industry software platforms. -Lead a variety of healthcare and residential projects, from concept through to implementation, adhering to client expectations and requirements. -Conduct frequent site inspections to identify and resolve issues, monitor work progress, and ensure compliance with agreed design intent and industry standards. -Liaise with multidisciplinary professional project teams and consultants, enforcing the delivery of efficient technical solutions, acting as a lead consultant coordinator. -Provide support to junior technicians and architects, offering technical oversight and ongoing guidance and mentorship, promoting professional development. -Work alongside contractors, stakeholders, and clients to ensure accurate and efficient project development and delivery, maintaining quality throughout all project stages. Requirements: -Extensive experience as a Senior Architectural Technician, Architect, or a similar role, supporting the design and delivery of healthcare and residential projects. -Significant leadership abilities within project delivery, with an ability to coordinate site inspections, resolve issues and queries, and ensure adherence to design intent. -Profound acknowledgment of UK building regulations and standards, technical detailing, and construction codes, throughout RIBA work phases. -Strong ability to build and maintain rapport with internal and external project professionals, ensuring high quality solution establishment. -Effective stakeholder management, mentoring, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
