Electrical Resident Engineer – Data Centre Projects (Contract) Location: Denmark/Finland (On-Site) Rate: £700–£750 per day (Outside IR35) Job Type: Contract – 24 Months Hours: 40 hours per week Start Date: April 2026 (ASAP onboarding available) An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Electrical Resident Engineers to support the delivery of major data centre projects in Europe, with roles available in Denmark and Finland. These positions offer the chance to work on large-scale data centre developments, overseeing the installation, commissioning and delivery of electrical building services systems within mission-critical environments. The successful Electrical Resident Engineers will act as the on-site technical authority, ensuring electrical systems are delivered in line with design specifications, programme requirements and quality standards. This is a site-based role, requiring full-time presence on-site, with travel and expenses covered in line with project policies. Key Responsibilities As an Electrical Resident Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Acting as the on-site electrical engineering representative on data centre projects Overseeing the installation of electrical building services systems Ensuring works are delivered in line with design specifications and project standards Supporting testing, commissioning and handover processes Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams Conducting site inspections and reporting on progress, quality and compliance Identifying and resolving technical issues on-site Supporting project delivery to meet programme, safety and performance targets Requirements To be considered for this Electrical Resident Engineer role, candidates should have: Proven experience working as an Electrical Resident Engineer or Electrical Site Engineer Strong experience in data centre or mission-critical projects Background in electrical building services engineering Experience overseeing installation, testing and commissioning Strong knowledge of LV/HV systems, power distribution and electrical infrastructure Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment Previous experience working on European data centre projects would be highly advantageous.
