As the successful candidate, you will be tasked with the design and development of complex rail and aviation projects, which will occur from our client’s Heathrow site. Responsibilities: -Establish comprehensive electrical system designs, across a range of rail and aviation projects, from concept through to design. -Produce, analyse, and develop detailed drawings, documentation, reports, specifications, and calculations, adhering to industry standards and regulations. -Collaborate with project professionals, across various disciplines, coordinating work outputs to ensure alignment with client requirements and expectations. -Attend site visits, on a regular basis, monitoring site works and outputs, whilst identifying and resolving issues, whilst supporting commissioning processes. -Support design implementation through the development of mitigation strategies, whilst analysing existing data to establish efficient design solutions. -Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and external specialists, attending project meetings and presentations to share designs, implementing edits based on provided feedback. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Building Services Engineering, or a relevant discipline, ideally holding a Chartered Engineer status. -Significant experience delivering rail and aviation projects, as an Electrical Design Engineer, or similar, creating in-depth electrical system designs. -Significant proficiency in the use of relevant industry software resources and tools, including Revit, AutoCAD, and other related calculation platforms. -Proficient understanding of industry standards, regulations, codes, key legislation, and best practices, and its application within project works and delivery. -Strong task and responsibility management abilities, keeping to budgets and deadlines, with strong communication and collaborative skills. You will be required to attend Heathrow 4-5 days a week. This is a great opportunity to work on stage 4 and 5 aspects of an exciting project. -Competitive day rate ranging from £400-450 (depending on experience). This role initially requires the successful candidate to work on-site from their main Heathrow site; however, this will transition to a hybrid working arrangement after a short period of time. Join now to be the driving force for change across a variety of aviation projects, focusing on stages 4-5 of development. -Competitive day rate ranging from £400-£425 (depending on experience). -Initial on-site working arrangements, transitioning to Hybrid after a couple of months. Responsibilities: -Develop detailed mechanical system designs, from stage 4 to 5, from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements. -Ensure all designs and works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and codes, whilst ensuring buildability and operational efficiency. -Curate concise drawings, layout, model coordination, and specifications using BIM workflows and other relevant software tools. -Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients, to locate potential issues, suggesting and implementing solutions, whilst managing changes to current designs. -Contribute to refurbishment and upgrade projects, ensuring systems remain operational and disruptions are kept to a minimum during installation. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site from our client’s Heathrow site, full-time. You will have the opportunity to create intricate designs for a large-scale aviation project, through stages 4 into stage 5 coordinated models. -Competitive day rate of £320 (depending on experience). -On-site working arrangements (will transition to hybrid for longer-term working). Responsibilities: -Manage the production of MEP model designs, with the use of Revit, aligning the designs with the project requirements. -Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are accurate and that all project challenges and issues are resolved effectively. -Oversee clash detection tests and identify and report any issues using tools like Navisworks. -Support the development of the project, and it’s BIM delivery plans, and ensure effective management across the 4th and 5th stages. -Ensure that the designs maintain version control and model integrity, whilst keeping up-to-date records and documentation throughout the course of the project. Requirements: -Prior experience as a Revit MEP Coordinator, or a similar role, working within the built environment, ideally in aviation. -Proficient in the use of software tools such as Revit and Navisworks. -Background at Stage 5 production. -Solid grasp of MEP systems and system coordination. -Experience analysing technical model designs and specifications. -Basic understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and common data environments. -Strong communication skills, with an excellent attention to detail.
