We're hiring a Principal Structural Engineer to join a large multidisciplinary engineering and design consultancy in a permanent role, working full-time in office, in Kent (with the occasional flex to drop to 4 days). This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile Civil & Structural projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, leisure, industrial, retail, residential, and infrastructure. Responsibilities: -Lead structural engineering projects of varying sizes. -Collaborate with and guide the design team to deliver coordinated solutions that meet client goals. -Assess and inspect structures in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. -Design using software like Tekla Structural Designer. -Ensure quality and consistency in drawings and reports and produce technical reports and structural surveys. What we’re looking for: -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering. -Experience leading and managing projects and teams from concept to completion. -Proficient in applying Eurocodes in design. -Strong skills in report writing, communication, and numerical analysis. -Proficient in structural analysis, design, and relevant software tools. -Chartered or approaching Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE). This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-profile developments across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare. The role on offer is a permanent position, working on a hybrid basis, with three days at the clients office in Kent and two days working remotely.
