Key responsibilities Oversee structural engineering aspects of various projects, especially within the defence, industrial, transportation, and commercial sectors. Provide guidance on structural design and analysis, focusing on innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure high standards. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and maintaining strong relationships. Attend client meetings, site visits, and offer technical advice to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development, providing feedback and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure all project activities and designs comply with industry regulations and standards. Conduct quality reviews to maintain safety, durability, and reliability in all structural work. Key requirements Significant experience as a Structural Engineer, with a proven background in managing complex projects across sectors like defence, transportation, and industrial/commercial structures. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software. Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, with the ability to apply innovative approaches to complex designs. Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or eligibility with relevant engineering institutions (e.g., ICE, IStructE). Located in Leeds, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of pricing strategies, driving commercial growth, and ensuring profitability across the organisation. This role will oversee the end-to-end commercial processes, manage key stakeholder relationships, and optimise pricing models to support business objectives. Specialising in providing a wide range of Asset Management, Engineering, Commercial and Strategic Advisory services across the UK, our client operates in a variety of sectors, including Water, Energy and Environmental. They are searching for a motived NEC Project Manager to join their dynamic team of specialists. Key responsibilities: Draft project scope, site information, and contract data with standardized templates (NEC3 and 4) alongside partners and project managers. Use the online contract system for communications, such as early warnings and program updates. Vet and process monthly partner payments per contract. Lead weekly progress and regular risk, issue, and benefit reviews. Analyse cost and schedules to validate submissions. Review monthly partner forecasts before client submission. Provide time and cost forecasts for client submissions. Collaborate across stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for multiple projects. Key skills: APMP/ AMP PMQ (Project Management Qualification)/ PRINCE 2 or equivalent.
