Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an unmissable opportunity for multiple Hydraulic Modellers, of varying levels, to join an initial 6-month contract role. Our client offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement, with 3 days a week in either their London or Leeds office. This position will give you the opportunity to work on exciting Water projects, working with an experienced and motivating team. Key Responsibilities: -Develop and run hydraulic/hydrological models (e.g., InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW). -Prepare technical reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. -Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Develop your skills as a Hydraulic Modeller, within a dynamic and supportive team, and join our client’s well-established engineering consultancy. They are offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work on-site from their London or Leeds office, in a permanent position. Enhance your professional portfolio with this opportunity to work on a variety of Water and Water Treatment projects, centred around wastewater management. -Competitive salary of £35,000-£60,000 (subject to experience). -Company pension scheme, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. Responsibilities: -Produce and develop hydraulic model designs, using tools such as InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS, and/or TUFLOW, for wastewater, flood risk, and drainage systems. -Oversee data collection and analysis of rainfall, flow, and spatial datasets, whilst integrating GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS/QGIS) to support modelling work. -Interpret model results and create concise technical reports, visualisations, and documentation. -Coordinate with other multidisciplinary teams, supporting quality assurance, peer reviews, and project planning. -Ensure that all on-site works align with current UK industry standards, practices, and regulations. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, or similar discipline, whilst pursuing professional accreditation. -3+ years of experience as a Hydraulic Modeller, or a relevant role, ideally with a focus on wastewater projects. -Proficient in the use of ICM modelling software, such as Infoworks, TUFLOW, FloodModeller, and ESTRY, as well as the use of GIS software. -Understanding of UK water industry regulations and policies surrounding flood risk is desirable, with an acknowledgment of wastewater systems and challenges. -Strong communication and analytical skills, with a problem-solving mindset and a desire to learn, collaborate, and create high-quality work.For further information on this opportunity, please contact Sam Chance on 02392 603030 or email sam.chance@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
