Our client, a leader in managing and delivering technically challenging projects, is seeking an experienced Project Control Engineer for a variety of EPCM projects based in Manchester. This role requires a professional who can effectively handle the complexities of project planning, cost management, and risk assessment, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong coordination skills and the ability to compile and interpret project data for monthly reporting. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing project controls, including cost tracking, scheduling, and overseeing resource utilisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead project planning and controls, ensuring timely issue of deliverables and reports. Provide leadership to planning engineers, schedulers, and cost engineers to ensure project execution aligns with time and budget targets. Support the Project Manager in identifying potential issues and providing solutions that could impact project progress or costs. Monitor schedules to ensure they meet delivery requirements and keep stakeholders informed of progress. Manage cost and time-related variations, preparing necessary documentation to address potential claims. Maintain accurate project budgets and progress tracking through established systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Substantial experience in project controls on EPCM projects, preferably within the Process or Industry sectors. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
