This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years' experience who enjoys combining technical design, project delivery and client interaction within a collaborative design environment. You'll play a key role in coordinating projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure high-quality technical solutions are delivered on time and to specification. The Role You'll be involved in: Delivering technical design packages across healthcare projects Producing and coordinating detailed drawing information Managing project delivery through technical design stages Liaising directly with clients and key project stakeholders Coordinating with architects, consultants and multidisciplinary teams Supporting project planning, programme management and delivery objectives Ensuring technical compliance and quality standards are maintained This is a client-facing role with genuine responsibility for project coordination and delivery. Our client, an established engineering consultancy, is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their organisation, on a permanent basis. This opportunity presents the chosen professional with the ability to work on-site, from their main office in Newcastle, where they will be responsible for managing the delivery of civil engineering projects, creating intricate designs, and guiding a team of engineers through all project development stages. -Competitive salary ranging from £40,000-£55,000 (depending on experience). -Company pension scheme, on-site working arrangements, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. Responsibilities: -Lead the design and delivery of intricate civil engineering systems, for various projects across a range of disciplines, taking it from concept through to detailed design. -Oversee all site works and team performance, ensuring adherence to UK industry standards, regulations, and codes, whilst also considering sustainability principles. -Liaise with project professionals, across a range of disciplines, to identify and resolve issues, whilst conducting risk analysis and suggesting corrective actions and measures. -Produce accurate drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations, taking client expectations and project plans into account. -Provide ongoing support and guidance to junior engineers, through training and mentorship, promoting professional development and project quality. -Establish rapport with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, ensuring effective project management, budgeting, tendering, and value engineering. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field, with a Chartered Engineer status, is ideal. -Profound experience as a Senior Civil Engineer, or a similar position, creating established designs and guiding teams through various complex projects. -Strong proficiency with relevant software tools, such as CAD, BIM workflows, and modelling tools, with profound design and documentation abilities. -Significant acknowledgment of UK design regulations, standards, and codes, with a strong understanding of civil engineering systems and processes. -Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability, and willingness, to mentor junior engineers.
