Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a well-known Engineering Consultancy, on a permanent staff basis in Nottingham. Our client is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead Civil Engineering projects whilst providing technical expertise to other team members. Key Responsibilities: · Deliver design work, inspections and construction site support · Complete Concept and Feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects · Design using Engineering software such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations · Prepare Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work and Technical reports · Assist and mentor team members to promote development Key Requirements: · Strong all-round technical design expertise · Working knowledge of British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes · A degree in Structural Engineering · Ability to prepare bids and proposals · Maintain and develop good relationships with clients · Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork · Knowledge of seismic, dynamic and extreme environmental loading is beneficial · Excellent knowledge of and use of BIM packages Benefits: · Flexible holiday allowance · Company Pension scheme · Hybrid working · Opportunity to work on challenging projects · The chance to lead projects For further information on this opportunity, please contact Pete Castle on 02392 603030 or email pete.castle@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
