Attention all Mechanical Design Engineers! Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to work alongside a leading client of ours on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a predominately remote basis, attending the Plymouth site two days per month. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding mechanical engineering principles for the design, operation and maintenance of Steam & Condensate, Industrial Gases, Fresh Water, Demineralised Water, HVAC and Domestic Water services. As the successful candidate, you will be joining a leading defence company that operates in a variety of international markets. They provide unrivalled engineering support to naval, land, air and nuclear operations, frontline support, specialist training and asset management. Key Responsibilities: Produce concise Mechanical design deliverables across all design stages Report to the Design Manager Produce design deliverables for water, and water treatment plants Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and all other relevant H&S legislation Assist in all aspects of mechanical design from site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing Monitoring of design delivery performance and efficiency Conduct regular meetings with project delivery teams Liaise with Mechanical, Electrical and Civil & Structural Designers Key Requirements: Previous Building Services experience HVAC (ideally in Nuclear applications) A chartered Engineer status is beneficial Security cleared or able to obtain Strong team leader & decision maker with proven experience Good working knowledge of MS packages Strong communication skills Full driving licenceFor further information on this opportunity, please contact Athena Antoniou on 02392 603030 or email athena.antoniou@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
