The successful candidate will work in a contract role, on a remote basis, with the occasional commute required to Plymouth or Bristol office. Our client is a leading engineering services company specialising in the defence, aerospace, and nuclear sectors. Key Responsibilities: -Design and analyse structural systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulations. -Perform structural calculations and assessments to support project delivery. -Work with architects, contractors, and engineers to integrate structural elements into projects. -Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation. -Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client specifications. -Review design changes and recommend improvements. Key Requirements: -Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance. -3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in engineering consultancy or construction. -BEng qualification or higher. -Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles. -Experience with reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, timber, and masonry. -Understanding of sustainable design in structural engineering. -Experience in assessing and reusing existing structures (concrete, steel, masonry, timber). -Proficient in analysis/design software (Etabs, Strand7, Spacegass, RAPT, RAM Concept, SAFE, Mathcad, Tedds). -Good understanding of BIM requirements. -Ability to communicate and manage drafters to ensure compliant designs.For further information on this opportunity, please contact Millie Kerr on 02392 603030 or email millie.kerr@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
