Our client, an established mechanical and electrical contractor, is seeking a talented CAD Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis, to work on a variety of Refurbishment, Retail, and Commercial projects. This is an amazing opportunity to work on-site from our client’s office, located near Southampton, allowing the successful candidate to grow and develop their professional portfolio across a range of complex projects. -Competitive salary ranging between £30,000 and £50,000 (subject to experience). -Company pension scheme, on-site working arrangement, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. Responsibilities: -Create and develop in-depth drawings, for mechanical and electrical systems, across a range of projects, using CAD and/or BIM software tools, such as AutoCAD and Revit. -Establish detailed specifications and ensure accurate material selection, focusing on cable sizing, lighting design, and other electrical systems. -Develop and maintain concise Revit designs and models for a variety of Refurbishment, Retail, and Commercial projects. -Liaise with project professionals, such as site teams, engineers, and project professionals, ensuring alignment with site requirements and effective query resolution. -Assemble, maintain, and deliver up to date documentation, reports, drawings, calculations, and packages, ensuring a smooth project handover. -Ensure all works comply with current building and industry regulations, specifications, client requirements, and relevant standards. Requirements: -Demonstrable experience as a CAD Engineer, or within a similar role, operating on complex Commercial, Retail, and Refurbishment projects. -Significant technical background, with an ability to develop detailed mechanical and electrical drawings, using relevant software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. -Strong acknowledgment of current industry and building regulations, key legislation, industry best practices, and design standards. -Effective communication, multitasking, and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be working on-site from our client’s office, located near Southampton. Requirements: -Qualified Electrician, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, ideally with a chartered engineer status. -Profound experience as an Electrical Project Manager, or a similar role, working on electrical systems, within a variety of Refurbishment projects. -Strong technical background, with an understanding of various electrical systems, such as ELV, power systems, high/low voltage, and lighting control. -Solid commercial awareness, with knowledge of budget management, and the ability to deliver projects in an inexpensive and timely manner. -Excellent communication, leadership, planning, and organisational skills, with the willingness to collaborate effectively with other professional teams. Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a seasoned Project Director, to join a leading construction and engineering firm, on a contract basis, outside IR35. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis, 3-4 days a week, from our client’s office and/or site, across the south of the UK. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of large-scale, complex Water and Water Treatment projects. £100M + values. -Competitive day rate of £600-£850 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangements (3-4 days per week on-site or in the office). Responsibilities: -Manage and oversee the development and implementation of large-scale Water and Water Treatment projects, from concept to completion. -Coordinate and process project timelines, budgets, and risks, whilst ensuring that all works align with high quality and environmental principles. -Build and maintain rapport with clients and other specialist professionals, allowing for seamless project integration. -Monitor and oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and handover stages, ensuring that health and safety and technical standards and procedures are followed. -Direct and mentor project teams, promoting clear and effective communication, performance, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. -Nurture innovation, sustainability, and ongoing improvement across the project’s development.
