Rare opportunity for a skilled Geotechnical Engineer! Blueprint Recruitment are seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer to join our client, a leading consultancy, on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions within the energy sector. As the selected candidate you can expect to be working on a variety of fantastic renewable energy, hydrogen, and carbon capture projects. The role offers flexibility, with a mix of office-based and site work across the UK. Responsibilities: Lead and deliver geotechnical projects, including analysis, design, and appraisals for onshore gas infrastructure. Manage project scopes to ensure quality delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets. Prepare bids, project documentation, and reports to high standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various departments to ensure integrated project delivery. Engage in business development activities, including client meetings, proposals, and stakeholder engagement. Requirements: Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline. Significant experience in geotechnical engineering within the energy or construction sectors. Familiarity with British Standards, Eurocode 7, and DMRB. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client relationships. Desirable: Chartered Engineer status with post-chartered experience. Knowledge of Ground Movement Assessments, Soil/Pipeline Interaction Analysis, and Foundation Design. Experience with Plaxis 2D/3D and Ple4Win software. Are you an experienced mechanical engineer ready for a new challenge? Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are working alongside a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, who are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is available in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol and Leeds, with a blend of home-working and office or site collaboration. Flexible arrangements, including part-time options, are also considered. This position offers the chance to contribute to projects that are driving a carbon-free future. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions that reduce carbon emissions while ensuring future energy security. As part of the Net Zero Engineering team, you will be working on a variety of projects, ranging from feasibility studies to detailed designs and site-based assignments. Current initiatives include hydrogen production and storage as well as industrial decarbonisation projects. Key responsibilities Oversee the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects across various design phases, from initial feasibility to detailed design. Build strong relationships with clients and team members, working closely to deliver tailored solutions. Participate in design reviews and review Performance Standards for Safety. Critical Elements in relation to mechanical systems. Key Requirements Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEng/MSc). Chartered Engineer status and membership in IMechE are highly desirable. Solid technical background and experience in regulated industries such as power, chemical, or oil and gas.
