This is a hands-on, site-based role within the power and civils sector, requiring expertise in National Grid safety procedures and plant operation. Our client is a respected contractor in the power and civil engineering sectors, delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK. Their expertise spans substations, utilities, and large-scale construction, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Ensure site safety and compliance with National Grid standards. Assist in the delivery of substation projects, supporting civil and electrical teams. Operate site machinery, including telehandlers or diggers, if ticketed. Work collaboratively with engineers and site managers to maintain project efficiency. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requirements: NG Persons certification (essential). NSI 6 & NSI 8 qualifications (required). Telehandler or digger ticket (required). Experience in power and civils projects within substations. Strong awareness of site safety and risk management.
