Attention all Senior Electrical Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have an excellent new opportunity for a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join a renowned engineering and design consultancy on a permanent basis in Manchester. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for the selected candidate to work on a variety of exciting projects throughout the Aviation, Life Science, Defence and Nuclear sectors. 

Our client:

Our client is a comprehensive design, engineering, and project delivery company with a focus on intricate infrastructure, process, and built environments throughout the entire project life cycle. Their expertise spans diverse disciplines, encompassing initial architecture, civil and structural engineering, and building services.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring designs and the electrical scope of works meet British/company standards, specifications, Health and Safety policies and handover documentation.
• Preparing and checking detailed drawings and specifications as defined by Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Assessing returned quotations, checking orders for technical correctness and responding to vendors’ technical queries.
• Conducting inspections and ex-works tests of control panels, generators and other specialist equipment.
• Monitoring site electrical works to meet specifications, programmes and budgets, and assisting in site testing and commissioning work where required.
• Preparing Operation and Maintenance Manuals and developing procedures and systems for use within the Electrical Engineering Department.

Key requirements:

• Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams
• Experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers
• Hold a relevant degree and chartered or willing to work towards this
• Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications
• Want to take ownership, be innovative, use initiative and are driven by client satisfaction
