Fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager!
Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a reputable infrastructure contractor who are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Project Manager to join their team. This brilliant opportunity is located in Somerset and will require the selected candidate to operate on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of high-profile National Grid projects. You will oversee all aspects of project management, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
If selected, you will be joining a leading infrastructure services provider, who specialise in delivering essential maintenance, repair, and construction solutions across various sectors in the UK. With a broad portfolio of businesses, they operate within utilities, transport, and energy, supporting key infrastructure networks.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of National Grid projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
- Manage project teams, fostering collaboration and driving excellence across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving any issues that arise.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct detailed reviews of project documentation, including progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Mentor and support junior team members, promoting professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Engage with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services critical to project success.
Key requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Manager.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing National Grid projects or similar infrastructure projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project lifecycle management, from initiation to completion.
- Proficiency in contract management, including NEC contracts, with a strong focus on risk and financial management.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving efficient and innovative solutions.
- A degree in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
