Blueprint recruitment is looking to speak with Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading Building Services Engineering practice, on a permanent basis in Leeds.

The successful candidate will work with enthusiastic Engineers and Technicians and be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Mechanical inputs are correctly designed and installed.

Our client is expanding their multi-disciplinary team due to an increasing demand for their Design, Engineering and Master Planning Services for Industrial, Retail, Commercial and Residential projects.  

Key Responsibilities:

· Able to be client facing whilst maintaining and developing positive client relations

· Work closely with Engineers, Associates and other stakeholders to ensure designs are valued and meet client specifications

· Take ownership of specific skill areas or activities within technical knowledge networks

· Prepare and review detailed Engineering calculations and solutions

· Mentor and support Junior members of the team

· Contribute to new innovative ideas, and collaborate within a team to make suggestions for innovation

· Attend company meetings to present project work

· Working with and developing digital tools and products

Key Requirements:

· Extensive experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer

· Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering

· Working knowledge of CIBSE, HTM guidelines and Building Regulations

· Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines

· Chartered Engineer status or working towards

· Good understanding and literacy in Microsoft packages

· Excellent communication skills

· Willingness to contribute to and develop our technical knowledge networks
