Attention senior mechanical design engineers! Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity within your expertise. Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in London. It’s an exciting opportunity to take on increased responsibility.

Our client is a highly respected design and build firm, known for delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality solutions across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. By joining their team, you will have the opportunity to work on important projects.

Responsibilities:

-Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for projects including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy-efficient building systems.

-Produce high-quality mechanical design drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports, ensuring adherence to client requirements and industry standards.

-Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other design teams to ensure integrated, innovative solutions that meet project goals.

-Take ownership of the design process from concept to completion, ensuring designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

-Attend client meetings and site visits to provide technical expertise, resolve issues, and ensure the successful implementation of designs.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

-Experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on building services such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Additionally, experience in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and building simulation tools.

-Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

-Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while ensuring design quality.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively  with clients.

-Experience with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient building systems.

-Chartered status or progress toward Chartered Engineer status (preferred but not essential).
