Calling all Structural Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment are looking for a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy on a contract basis in East London. This fantastic opportunity is outside IR35 and will see the successful candidate working on a variety of exciting healthcare and residential projects. If selected, you will be required to operate on a hybrid basis, attending the office 3-4 days per week.

Our client is a leading independent civil and structural engineering consultancy, offering a nationwide service through six UK offices. They offer structural, civil and glass engineering design services together with building surveying and associated advice on health and safety, ecological and environmental issues. Ranging from individual buildings and housing developments to retail parks and town centre regenerations, their projects also span new, historic, and temporary structures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and analyse structural components for healthcare and residential projects, ensuring compliance with UK standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative structural solutions.
  • Provide technical advice and support on structural design, assessment, and project planning.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections, coordinating effectively with project stakeholders to monitor progress and quality.
  • Prepare detailed reports, calculations, and technical drawings for various structural elements.
  • Operate on a hybrid schedule, with 3-4 office days per week to facilitate in-person collaboration.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Structural Engineer, ideally within healthcare and residential sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building codes, structural analysis, and design standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Ability to work both independently and within collaborative team environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability for a hybrid working model, with office presence in East London as needed.
