An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major HV and EHV power connection projects across the UK. This Project Manager role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical infrastructure who enjoys managing complex utility projects from inception through to completion. You'll oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. The successful Project Manager will play a key role in delivering major power infrastructure schemes while helping to develop teams, improve project delivery processes and build long-term client relationships. The Role As a Project Manager, you'll be involved in: Managing the end-to-end delivery of HV and EHV power connection projects Planning, scheduling and coordinating project resources and delivery programmes Managing project budgets, commercial performance and cost control Coordinating with clients, DNOs, IDNOs, engineering teams and subcontractors Managing project risks, issues and programme milestones Supporting procurement, logistics and supplier management activities Preparing project documentation, reports and handover information Ensuring projects comply with technical, safety and quality standards Leading project meetings and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships Supporting continuous improvement across project delivery processes This Project Manager position offers the opportunity to lead technically challenging electrical infrastructure projects within a growing and collaborative environment. What They're Looking For Experience working as a Project Manager within the power, utilities or electrical infrastructure sector Strong background delivering HV or EHV projects Experience working with a Tier 1 contractor Previous experience working with DNOs, ideally SSEN or other UK distribution networks Electrical background with a good understanding of associated civil engineering works Strong commercial and contract management experience Excellent planning, stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and multidisciplinary teams The following would be advantageous: Operational experience within power networks APM, PRINCE2 or PMP qualification Experience delivering major connections projects Knowledge of UKPN, SSEN or other DNO standards and procedures Why Apply? Site Engineer – Power Infrastructure / T&D Projects (Contract) Location: Birmingham (Site-Based Role) Rate: £400 per day (Outside IR35) Job Type: Contract – 6 Months (Rolling – Long-Term Project) Hours: 50 hours per week Start Date: ASAP Urgent Requirement – Long-Term Project – Immediate Interviews This role offers the chance to work on a long-term site-based project, supporting the Site Manager and overseeing construction activities, subcontractors and technical delivery on-site. The successful Site Engineer will play a key role in setting out, quality assurance, technical coordination and site supervision, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
