Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (High Voltage) Location: East Anglia Job Type: Permanent Sector: Power / Energy Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 Overview An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist team working on electrical transmission and distribution networks across East Anglia. This role focuses on the testing and commissioning of high-voltage plant and apparatus on live distribution networks, supporting projects across 11kV, 33kV and 132kV infrastructure. You will play a key role in integrating new equipment into existing protection schemes while ensuring safe and compliant delivery of commissioning activities. Working within a substation build environment, you will contribute to the delivery of reliable electricity infrastructure and support the reinforcement and expansion of regional distribution networks. The role is required immediately to support ongoing survey and investigation works, ensuring site activities are managed safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will oversee works including major equipment replacement, extensive cabling and infrastructure upgrades within a live high-voltage environment. While the construction of a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) building is planned for a later phase of the project, the Site Manager may provide valuable input during the design development stage.
