SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Attention all Senior Quantity Surveyors! We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist engineering company on a 6-month initial contract basis. Our client offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement; this will consist of 2-3 days a week in their office in Bewl. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a water treatment project, with a highly experienced and motivating team. Key Responsibilities: -Oversee quantity surveying duties throughout all project phases. -Prepare and manage cost plans, tender documents, and contracts. -Control project risk, value, and cost from inception to completion. -Provide procurement and contract advice to clients. -Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants for seamless delivery. -Deliver financial reports and strategic commercial insights to Directors. Attention all HV Electrical Design Engineers! Blueprint Recruitment have an exciting opportunity to join one of our leading clients Power Transmission/Distribution team. This is an opportunity for a highly capable and motivated specialist HVDC engineers with an eye for detail, to support and inspire the team on a variety of power system projects. This role offers hybrid working from their Manchester office, with the option to consider locations in Glasgow, London, or Birmingham. Key Responsibilities of your role: -Design and analysis of HVDC systems, including converter stations and substations. -Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, focusing on safety and efficiency. -Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVDC systems with electrical and civil infrastructure. -Work with clients to define requirements and provide technical guidance. -Create technical documentation, including design reports and specifications. What we are looking for: -PhD, MSc, MEng or BEng degrees in Electrical Engineering /Electrical Power Systems or similar. -Experience with high-voltage power systems. -Knowledge of UK and international grid connection processes and Grid Codes. -Client and project management experience. -In-depth understanding of HVDC technologies and converter station designs. -Proven experience in HVDC projects, including interconnectors and onshore/offshore schemes. -Strong background in HVDC system studies, with excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. -Chartered Engineer or working towards IET chartership is preferable.
