Responsibilities: -Oversee the development of detailed drawings, calculations, documentation, and project specifications across a variety of civil engineering projects. -Manage project delivery across a variety of professional teams, ensuring regulations, design standards, and client requirements are being followed and maintained. -Conduct site visits, reviews, and inspections, ensuring that all project works comply with design intent, whilst monitoring and updating risk and design assessments. -Ensure accurate and efficient project delivery by coordinating and working with other technicians, engineers, planners, and other multidisciplinary project parties. -Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, nurturing progression, development, and performance quality assurance. We are looking for a skilled Senior Technician to step into our client’s forward-thinking consultancy, in a permanent position, to continue their ongoing commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will be working on a hybrid basis, working three days a week, from their main office near Portsmouth. Responsibilities: -Produce and develop in-depth drawings, documentation, calculations, and project specifications for a wide range of multidisciplinary projects. -Support design processes from early concept creation through to construction and implementation, with alignment with RIBA stages. -Conduct site visits, inspections, and reviews, ensuring that all project works comply with design intent, whilst monitoring and updating risk and design assessments. -Collaborate with project professionals, and internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate project solutions, whilst identifying and resolving issues. -Ensure quality control at a high standard, full compliance with company and industry systems, and accurate document management and maintenance. -Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, nurturing progression and development, whilst ensuring accurate and up to date documentation is maintained. Are you on the hunt for a role that gives you a fulfilling purpose? We are looking for a seasoned Principal Civil Engineer to join our client’s leading consultancy, in a permanent position. This opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement, where in which the successful applicant will be operating from their main office, located near Portsmouth, three days a week. This is an amazing opportunity to expand overall knowledge and skills across a range of Highway and Drainage projects. -Competitive salary (depending on experience). -Company pension scheme, hybrid working arrangement, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. Responsibilities: -Oversee the design and implementation of a variety of civil engineering projects, with a large focus on drainage and highway systems. -Monitor the upkeep of key project documentation, including drainage technical notes, flood risk assessments, and utilities statements, ensuring they remain up to date. -Ensure that all work complies with relevant building regulations, security and safety protocols, and other key legislations. -Build and maintain rapport with industry professionals, stakeholders, clients, and government bodies, to ensure all requirements are being met and implemented. -Support and mentor junior professionals, nurturing professional development, high-quality performance, and collaborative working. -Support business development through the identification and implementation of new opportunities and the establishment of project and business proposals. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline, with a Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status. -Profound experience as a Principal Civil Engineer, or a related position, with a portfolio of previous works showcasing experience with Drainage and Highway projects. -Proficiency in SuDS, flood risk, surface water drainage system designs, earthworks, and section agreements (S278 and S38). -Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of resourcing, project financials, and client management strategies. -Effective communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities, with strong report-writing and technical presentation skills.
