This brilliant opportunity is located in Somerset and will require the selected candidate to operate on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of high-profile National Grid projects. You will oversee all aspects of project management, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety and sustainability. If selected, you will be joining a leading infrastructure services provider, who specialise in delivering essential maintenance, repair, and construction solutions across various sectors in the UK. With a broad portfolio of businesses, they operate within utilities, transport, and energy, supporting key infrastructure networks. Key responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of National Grid projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve optimal performance and efficiency. Manage project teams, fostering collaboration and driving excellence across engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving any issues that arise. Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. Conduct detailed reviews of project documentation, including progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics. Mentor and support junior team members, promoting professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the team. Engage with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services critical to project success. Key requirements Previous experience as a Project Manager. Demonstrated expertise in managing National Grid projects or similar infrastructure projects. Comprehensive knowledge of project lifecycle management, from initiation to completion. Proficiency in contract management, including NEC contracts, with a strong focus on risk and financial management. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide multi-disciplinary teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving efficient and innovative solutions.
