Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a specialist water firm, in a permanent position. You will be required to work in a hybrid position, from one of our clients’ offices UK wide. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting water projects with a motivating and experienced team. Key Responsibilities: -Design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment projects. -Produce detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation. -Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements. -Work closely with other engineering disciplines and external stakeholders. -Support site visits, commissioning, and timely delivery of design projects. What we are looking for: -Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or related field). -Experience in electrical design, preferably in the water or utilities sector. -Familiarity with BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and CDM standards. -Skilled in AutoCAD and electrical design software such as Amtech or ETAP. -Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Key Responsibilities: -Create and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project. -Work with teams to set project goals, deliverables, and timelines. -Track project progress, milestones, and provide updates. -Lead progress meetings and support accurate reporting. -Assist with project audits and ensure compliance. -Advise site, construction, and delivery teams. -Attend meetings and present updates. Key Responsibilities: -Support the lead engineer in growing the water business by working on projects with both UK and global clients. -Carry out process audits, investigations, feasibility studies, and design work for drinking water treatment plants and related systems. -Present ideas, concepts, and proposals to clients. -Participate in meetings with clients and offer technical insights. -Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety, and environmental regulations. -Manage project timelines and ensure processes are completed on time and within budget. Key Requirements: -A degree in engineering. -Chartered Engineer status or a relevant engineering qualification is preferred. -Experience in the water utilities sector, particularly drinking water, is preferred but not required. -Skills in process design, including mass balances and P&ID diagrams. -Strong numerical skills and a flexible, problem-solving approach. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
