Are you a Design Manager looking for the next venture in your career? Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are currently working with one of our leading clients who is looking to appoint an experienced and driven Design Manager on a contract basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with up to three days per week required in the client's Birmingham office. Our client is a global engineering design and build consultancy, known for delivering sustainable and innovative solutions. You will be joining an expert team working specifically on an exciting national grid project, focusing on all aspects of substation upgrades and extensions, whilst shaping the future for the national grid network! Key Responsibilities of your role: -You will play a key role in supporting the preparation of project proposals, by leading presentations and contract negotiations. Then supporting such project from concept to completion. -Be responsible for reporting regularly on the projects progress – including costs, procurement issues, potential impacts, and design questions etc. -Support the current relationships with clients, project stake holders, regulatory bodies and subcontractors. The successful candidates will work full time on site in Yorkshire. Our client is a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, delivering critical infrastructure that protects communities and the environment. Key Responsibilities: -Manage the commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants to ensure they meet project requirements. -Work closely with design, construction, and project teams to ensure a smooth handover to operations. -Plan and carry out commissioning tasks like testing, process tuning, and final handover. -Identify and solve technical issues during commissioning. -Prepare reports, documentation, and updates on progress. -Communicate with clients, regulators, and suppliers as needed. -Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The successful candidate will work full time on site in Farnham. Our client is a respected multi-disciplinary engineering and construction company, delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across the water, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and carry out the electrical commissioning of systems on-site. -Plan, test, and verify system performance against project specifications. -Work closely with design, project, and construction teams to ensure smooth handovers. -Identify and resolve commissioning issues in a timely manner. -Produce detailed commissioning reports and documentation. -Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical regulations, and client requirements. Blueprint Recruitment are looking to speak with skilled Senior Planners who are interested in joining a leading water company in the South. As a Senior Planner, you will manage the planning and scheduling of key infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You will collaborate with external contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to oversee project phases and maintain progress transparency for both internal and client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: -Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning software. -Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and the client team to organise construction phases. -Prepare and present progress updates and tender plans for both internal and external stakeholders. -Identify critical path activities, providing insights into project performance and efficiency opportunities. -Produce cost and scheduling data, variance reports, and baseline information for performance management. -Work with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors to assess and manage impacts of design changes or schedule adjustments. -Monitor resource needs for current and future workloads, producing visual data such as graphs and diagrams to illustrate status and requirements. -Ensure all changes are captured through change control processes and maintain data integrity on P6. Key Requirements: -Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. -Experience in water infrastructure projects is highly desirable. -Strong understanding of engineering principles. -Effective communication skills, including report writing and presentations. -Methodical and detail-oriented approach to work. -Excellent IT skills and knowledge of planning software. -High attention to detail with the ability to identify efficiencies and opportunities in project delivery. -Analytical mindset with the capability to produce meaningful insights and reports. -Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to manage complex schedules effectively.
