What you will be responsible for: -Manage and lead structural engineering projects from concept to completion. -Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. -Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met. -Prepare and review detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications. -Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. -Attend site visits and inspections as required. Key Requirements: -Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng preferred). -Chartered or near-chartered status with ICE or IStructE. -Extensive experience within this role or similar, and a considerable amount of experience leading teams. -Proficiency in design software such as Tekla, Tedds, Robot, or similar. -Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards. -Excellent communication and leadership skills. -Proven ability to manage projects and work within deadlines and budgets. Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are recruiting for a highly skilled electrical design engineer for a contract position with a leading international consultancy. The role will entail working on Government framework projects across education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice and some aviation aspects. Our client is a well-respected design, engineering and project management consultancy, whom offer services in a variety of sectors such as energy, defence, industrial, transportation and education. Key responsibilities: -You will be responsible for reporting to the design lead, whilst also providing support and guidance throughout the process to others. - Prepare electrical diagrams and detailed technical documentation. - Liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions. - Participate in site visits and attend client meetings to offer expert advice and ensure the successful implementation of electrical designs. - Review and approve contractor electrical designs, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards. -You will also be responsible for dealing with a mix of report writing and design.
