PRINCIPAL MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work in a fully remote role, and will be required to attend the Plymouth site every 6-8 weeks. Our client is a leading engineering company, that specialises in global defence, security, and aerospace sectors. Key Responsibilities: -Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, ensuring safety and technical compliance. -Work with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones on time and within budget. -Develop and maintain engineering specifications and documentation. -Conduct engineering analysis and testing to validate designs and performance. -Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide technical support. -Support the lifecycle management of engineering systems, from conception through to decommissioning. Blueprint Recruitment are looking to speak with an experienced and skilled Proposal Engineer to work with one of our leading clients! They’re looking for someone to join them in a permanent role, on a hybrid basis working 2/3 days a week in the office, located in North London. Our client is a leading UK-based company specialising in providing water and wastewater treatment solutions. Focusing on enhancing water quality, optimising resource use, and reducing environmental impact. Key Responsibilities: -Oversee Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to ensure deliverables support project proposals. -Lead contract negotiations, ensuring technical, organizational, and risk requirements are met. -Attend client meetings and site visits as needed for project development. -Coordinate legal, technical, and commercial teams to define scope and clarify risks for contract execution. -Work with the Pre-Construction Manager to acquire resources for solution development and proposal preparation. -Ensure proposals are delivered on time and within budget. Key Requirements: -Degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent qualifications; or Project Management qualifications. -UK Water Industry experience leading projects in design and/or delivery of water treatment, wastewater treatment or bioresources projects. -Experience in the processes, equipment and services that are used within the water industry. -Excellent written and verbal communication and team working skills. -Experience in the development of project programmes. -Membership of a professional institution, is desirable but not necessary! Key Responsibilities: -Lead and manage the design process across multiple projects, ensuring the successful delivery of designs on time and within budget. -Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and clients, to define and implement design solutions. -Oversee the creation of detailed design documentation (drawings, specs, and reports). -Ensure designs meet all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. -Manage resources and timelines to ensure efficient project execution. -Review and approve design proposals and technical submissions. Key Responsibilities: -Analyse and select optimal locations for placing electric vehicle public chargers within local authorities. -Assist with the early-stage design elements of electric vehicle charging sites. -Perform pre-design configuration checks. -Ensure charger performance adheres to regulations and laws for partners and subcontractors. -Conduct audits and inspections on partner and sub-contractor sites. -Manage relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure quality and value for money is achieved. -Perform site selection analysis. Our client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled process operator to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work full time on site in Oswestry, on a water treatment plant. Our client is a leading provider of advanced water treatment solutions, specialising in wastewater and water treatment processes. Key Responsibilities: -You will be responsible for process monitoring on the water treatment plant. -Responsible for daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals). -Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch, inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc). -Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents. -Assist in shutdowns, access, etc with Advance Plus team. -Attend regular meetings with other members on site to ensure project is running efficiently. -Responsible for ordering and receiving chemicals needed. -Liaise with client, suppliers, and advance plus process team. -Ensure adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance.
