Attention all Lead CAD Technicians! Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a leading infrastructure contractor who are seeking a talented Lead CAD Technician to join their team. This long-term contract position is located in either Newcastle or Leeds, and will require the successful candidate to operate on a hybrid basis. Our client is providing a great opportunity to work on a variety of exciting substation projects. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that work meets the quality of the client brief Collaborate with Engineers, Designers and other project staff Help create, train & develop a team capable of producing drawing and model outputs in line with Digital specifications/requirements Create detailed technical drawings and plans Review drawings to identify potential design issues Maintain records of all drawings and project documentation Assist in preparing and assembling project presentations and proposals Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and vendors as needed Stay updated on industry trends, BIM software updates and best practices Key Requirements: A degree in a relevant field Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial Proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD Strong experience in technical drawing and drafting Excellent analytical skills Ability to liaise with stakeholders, including clients and other design teams Effective written and verbal communication skillsFor further information on this opportunity, please contact Max Williams on 02392 603030 or email max.williams@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
