An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing power engineering business supporting the delivery of major HV and 132kV electrical infrastructure projects across the UK. This Electrical Estimator role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience preparing competitive tenders within the power sector. You'll play a key role in reviewing opportunities, building accurate cost estimates and helping secure major electrical infrastructure projects by producing commercially robust submissions. The successful Electrical Estimator will work closely with operational teams, suppliers and clients to develop winning tender strategies while helping shape a growing estimating function within the business. The Role As an Electrical Estimator, you'll be responsible for: Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for HV and 132kV electrical infrastructure projects Reviewing tender opportunities and identifying commercially viable bids Producing accurate cost estimates from first principles Developing and maintaining estimating templates and reference libraries Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations Liaising with operational, engineering and commercial teams throughout the bid process Identifying project risks and value engineering opportunities Supporting bid presentations and client clarification meetings Ensuring estimates remain commercially competitive while maintaining profitability Monitoring market trends, material pricing and supply chain performance This Electrical Estimator position offers the opportunity to play a significant role within a growing business while influencing the success of major power infrastructure projects. What We're Looking For We're looking for an Electrical Estimator with proven experience delivering successful bids within the power sector. Ideally you'll have: Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator, Senior Estimator or Bid Engineer Experience estimating HV or 132kV electrical infrastructure projects Strong understanding of tendering and commercial bid preparation Experience producing estimates from first principles Knowledge of electrical substations, power networks or utility infrastructure Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Experience gained within any of the following would be highly advantageous: ICPs (Independent Connection Providers) DNOs (Distribution Network Operators) OEMs Transformer manufacturers High Voltage electrical contractors Utility infrastructure projects Why Apply? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a specialist engineering consultancy supporting major infrastructure projects across the energy, utilities and power sectors. This Senior Geotechnical Engineer role is ideal for someone with strong geotechnical analysis experience who enjoys solving complex ground engineering challenges across high-profile infrastructure projects. You'll provide technical expertise on schemes involving power networks, gas infrastructure, pipelines, renewable energy and major civil engineering developments. The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, delivering geotechnical assessments and advanced numerical modelling to support nationally significant infrastructure projects. Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Geotechnical Engineer A minimum of five years' geotechnical engineering experience Advanced experience using PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D Strong geotechnical design and analysis capability Experience delivering infrastructure or utilities projects Excellent technical reporting and communication skills Ability to work independently while supporting multidisciplinary project teams The following would be highly advantageous: Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) Experience with PLEXIS/PLE4WIN or similar geotechnical software Experience across power, gas, pipelines, utilities or renewable energy projects CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one) Candidates should have recent, practical PLAXIS experience rather than academic-only exposure.
