Calling all Senior Civil Engineers! We are seeking candidates for a broad range of civil engineering roles for a key client of ours based in the South of England. Our client is looking for technically strong and proactive civil engineers to join their existing teams across Southampton, Winchester and Bristol. This will provide the opportunity to lead or assist in the delivery of projects, drawing from design skills such as flood advice, drainage, highways, street design, pavements, earthworks and utilities. Key Responsibilities: Project Design and Delivery: Lead or assist in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, water, or environmental projects. Prepare technical designs, drawings, reports, and calculations that align with industry standards and client requirements. Work with senior engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to understand project requirements and obtain necessary approvals. Provide technical expertise during client meetings and site visits to resolve project-related issues. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with architects, planners, and other engineering disciplines to integrate civil engineering solutions into larger multi-disciplinary projects. Mentor and support junior engineers, guiding them on project work and professional development. Technical Analysis and Problem Solving: Conduct detailed technical analysis, feasibility studies, and simulations to ensure design solutions are robust and efficient. Provide innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions to complex problems. Sustainability Focus: Integrate sustainable design practices into projects, aiming to reduce environmental impact and enhance social value. Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional certification or membership with a recognized engineering body (e.g., Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or working towards it). Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Previous experience in civil engineering design and project management is preferred, but early career engineers are also encouraged to apply. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in delivering fantastic civil, structural, highways, and infrastructure solutions across a diverse range of design and build projects. This position specifically is going to be working on one of the South Wests largest industrial refurbishment projects! Main Responsibilities Reviewing drawings and designs from equipment manufacturers and civil and structural designers and providing concise comments and actions considering constructability, coordination, time and cost. Managing change, in respect of design and construction. Undertaking the role of Project Manager for works contracts, for civil, structural and building works. Planning and coordinating site works. Managing individual and overall works construction programme for civil and structural works. Managing budget and costs for specific works contracts for civil and structural works (plus some ancillary contracts). Knowledge and experience of managing commercial construction contracts, in particular knowledge of NEC would be an advantage.
