Civil Engineer – Drainage & Water Design (Contract) Location: Birmingham / Bristol / London (Hybrid Working) Rate: £400–£450 per day (Inside IR35) Job Type: Contract – 6 Months Hours: 40 hours per week An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineer specialising in drainage and water design to support the delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK. This role will involve working within a multidisciplinary design team, delivering complex drainage, flood risk and water management designs while ensuring compliance with industry standards and sustainable design principles. The successful Civil Engineer will contribute to the development of technical design solutions, engineering calculations and detailed drawings, while coordinating design activities across multiple engineering disciplines. This position offers hybrid working, with office locations available in Birmingham, Bristol or London. Key Responsibilities As a Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will include: · Delivering drainage and water management design solutions · Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings and technical reports · Developing designs for drainage systems, flood risk mitigation and SuDS · Ensuring designs comply with industry standards, regulations and best practice · Leading technically challenging aspects of drainage and civil engineering design · Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams · Identifying and resolving design integration and constructability issues · Assessing and managing technical design risks · Conducting site visits, inspections and technical investigations · Supporting the delivery of sustainable and technically robust engineering solutions Requirements To be considered for this Civil Engineer role, candidates should have: · Proven experience working as a Civil Engineer within infrastructure or civil engineering projects · Strong experience in drainage design, SuDS and flood risk management · Experience producing engineering calculations, reports and technical drawings · Knowledge of drainage modelling and water management systems · Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams · Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills · Excellent communication and coordination abilities · Experience working on large infrastructure or civil engineering projects would be advantageous. Structural Engineer (Contract) – Sidcup / London – Inside IR35 Blueprint Recruitment are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy on a 6-month contract based in Sidcup or London. This role will involve working on High-Risk Building (HRB) structural assessments, alongside supporting a range of structural design projects. The position offers a mix of office work, site visits and some remote working. Our client is looking to appoint up to two engineers for this project. Contract Details Role: Structural Engineer Location: Sidcup or London office Duration: 6 months IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Hours: 40 hours per week Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Rates £40 – £45 per hour Expenses will be covered for site visits, and there is flexibility for working from home when appropriate.
