This permanent role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with up to three days a week in the office in Guildford. Our client is a well-established consultancy specialising in sectors such as commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, insurance, historic, residential, education, and leisure. Key Responsibilities: -Prepare sketch plans, working drawings, and specifications. -Conduct site inspections, attend site meetings, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure project efficiency. -Follow existing working practices, methods, and procedures. -Assist with feasibility studies and provide design advice. -Produce designs, assessments, and reports in line with quality procedures. -Advise on building maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment projects. -Provide guidance on building regulations, planning permissions, and compliance with relevant legislation. Key Requirements: -Degree in Building Surveying or a related field. -Strong understanding of surveying, construction principles, and methods. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Knowledge of construction methods, materials, contract procedures, landlord/tenant matters, and the Party Wall Act 1996. -Proficiency with CAD design software and Microsoft Word/Excel. -Working towards or recently achieved MRICS status. Key Responsibilities: -Design, plan, and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budgets, and deadlines. -Prepare detailed drawings, reports, and calculations to support design solutions. -Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
