MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong design capability who enjoys detailed engineering work, system sizing and energy performance analysis across large-scale developments. You'll play a key role in progressing live projects through detailed design stages, supporting technically demanding schemes including data centre upgrades and large industrial developments. The Role You'll be involved in: Delivering mechanical building services designs across complex projects Producing detailed calculations, specifications and technical reports Carrying out pipe sizing, duct sizing and system selection activities Supporting ventilation, air conditioning and domestic water system designs Using IES software to support energy and carbon reduction strategies Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams Supporting projects through detailed design and technical delivery stages Assisting with design reviews and client requirements A significant portion of the work will focus on taking projects from Stage 3 through to Stage 4 design. What They're Looking For Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within building services consultancy environments Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation and domestic water systems Experience carrying out system sizing and detailed mechanical design calculations Proficiency with IES software Knowledge of energy modelling, carbon reduction and building performance principles Strong technical and communication skills Ability to work independently within a project team Data centre experience would be beneficial but is not essential. REVIT MEP COORDINATOR

This role is ideal for someone who can comfortably access the Liverpool office on a hybrid basis and enjoys technically focused coordination work across education and secure-sector projects. You'll be supporting multidisciplinary building services schemes, working closely with engineers and project teams to coordinate Revit models, manage project information and drive BIM delivery through key design stages. This role is ideal for a technically strong coordinator with contractor-side experience who enjoys fast-paced project environments and wants to join a busy BIM team delivering complex MEP schemes across multiple sectors. The initial requirement is for a 2-month contract, however the workload pipeline suggests a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial term.
