They are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent staff basis, in Bath. Our client is focused on delivering sustainable solutions for the built environment across various sectors, including air and rail, education, healthcare, commercial, sport and entertainment. Key Responsibilities: -Design mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating) to meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulations. -Create technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical systems. -Collaborate with other engineers to integrate mechanical systems with architectural and structural designs. -Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements and are on track. -Ensure all designs comply with industry best practices and project specifications. The vacancy will consist of hybrid working, with up to 2 days a week at the clients office in London. Key Responsibilities: -Manage health, safety, and environmental matters to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements. -Provide the team with up-to-date health, safety, and environmental policies and ensure key issues are communicated effectively. -Oversee quality risks, including conducting inspections during installation and commissioning. -Develop subcontract design and construction methodologies, preparing for resources, procurement, and documentation. -Develop and monitor site-specific programs, address productivity, and report any changes to the Project Manager. -Offer engineering support to subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties. Attention Design Coordinators! Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join a National Contractor in London. As the selected candidate, you will support the Senior Design Manager in providing high quality information management processes, whilst implementing companywide BIM standards for their Data Centre, Defence and Energy projects. Key Responsibilities: -Work with the project team to coordinate BIM models, solve design issues, and make sure data is accurate. -Create and manage detailed 3D models using BIM tools, such as, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. -Check and report on the accuracy of all BIM documents, including models, drawings, and data, to make sure they meet project standards. -Work with project managers, architects, and engineers to make sure BIM is properly included in the project timeline and delivered on time. -Attend regular design meetings to address and solve issues as needed. Key Requirements: -A qualification in building design, construction, or BIM (preferably a degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field). -Hold a valid driving license. -Experience with online document control systems. -Experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process design. -Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with teams from different disciplines. -Experience as a BIM/VDC lead, especially using Revit and other BIM software. -Have a valid CSCS card.
