Our client, a forward-thinking engineering consultancy, is looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-profile developments across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare. The role on offer is a permanent position, working on a hybrid basis, with three days at the clients office in Kent and two days working remotely. The successful candidate will work full time from the clients office in London, and will also be required to partake in site visits when necessary. Our client is a leading provider of engineering support services, specialising in bespoke solutions across the MEP sectors. Key Responsibilities: -Producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings for engineering projects. -Collaborating with engineers and project teams to interpret technical specifications. -Updating and maintaining drawing registers and document control systems. -Supporting site surveys and the integration of survey data into design work. -Ensuring all drawings comply with industry and project standards. -Assisting in the development and improvement of CAD procedures and templates. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid role, with a maximum of two days a week in either the clients London or Colchester office. You will also be required to attend regional sites. The role will entail working on Government framework projects across education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice and some aviation aspects. Our client is a well-respected design, engineering and project management consultancy, whom offer services in a variety of sectors such as energy, defence, industrial, transportation and education. Key responsibilities: -You will be responsible for reporting to the design lead, whilst also providing support and guidance throughout the process to others. - Prepare electrical diagrams and detailed technical documentation. - Liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions. - Participate in site visits and attend client meetings to offer expert advice and ensure the successful implementation of electrical designs. - Review and approve contractor electrical designs, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards. -You will also be responsible for dealing with a mix of report writing and design.
