SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Attention all Senior Mechanical Design Engineers! We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering design consultancy, in a permanent position. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week in our clients London office. This is a brilliant opportunity to work on exciting an exciting range of projects, with an experienced and motivating team. -Competitive salary range from £55,000-£70,000 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Lead mechanical design on projects of all sizes, ensuring excellent client service. -Ensure quality control across mechanical engineering projects company-wide. -Manage project budgets and cost control. -Oversee project and cross-functional teams. -Attend client/project sites for meetings, surveys, and training. What we are looking for: Essential: -Minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering. -Extensive experience in building services consultancy design. -Skilled in Microsoft office. -Proven experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle. -String knowledge of Water Services, Heating / LTHW, HVAC, Fuel, above- ground drainage and BMS. ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join an International Consultancy in Bristol. You would be supporting Building Services design across a wide range of sectors including Mission Critical, healthcare, transportation, defence, and energy. Experience in these areas would be of benefit to the role. Responsibilities Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems including power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection. Carry out and manage the production of detailed calculations using software tools such as Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and in-house tools. Prepare technical specifications using NBS. Collaborate with the BIM team to prepare models and drawings, with a working understanding of Autodesk Revit. Conduct site surveys, inspections, and monitor site works. Produce reports and technical notes. Manage own workload, updating workload plans regularly and working to time allocations. Manage elements of project delivery and understand budget costings. Review progress and report anomalies or scope changes to the project lead. Assist with the technical development of junior staff. Requirements Degree qualified, or equivalent, in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related subject. Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET preferred. Proficient in software including Amtech/ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, and Microsoft packages. Experience with HV tools beneficial. Familiar with energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising buildings. Understanding of energy and carbon-related data capture and analytics. Awareness of building physics principles, passive design solutions, and fabric-first approaches. Competent in designing for measurement and verification, with commissioning and post-installation evaluation experience. Experience working in a design consultancy and/or contractor design environment is essential. Detailed knowledge of relevant technical standards. Able to take charge of deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative, and operate proactively. Good report writing skills and experience presenting to and meeting with clients. Comfortable working within time and cost budgets as agreed at project briefing meetings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. This role is a Permanent full-time on-site position in London. As the successful candidate you will be required to work on a hybrid basis (3 days a week) from our clients Stratford office. You will be working on an exciting rail project, focusing on electrical installation designs. -Competitive day rate ranging from £450-£550 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and deliver electrical designs from concept to completion, including CDP, detailed design, and D&B packages. -Develop and coordinate BIM/CAD designs using point-cloud surveys and value engineering techniques. -Oversee circuit design, load calculations, and integration of power, lighting, life-safety, security, and data systems. -Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, NICEIC), manage submittals, support construction, and drive design innovation.
