Our client is looking for a highly skilled principal power systems engineer to join their leading engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis, with two days a week in their London office. Our client is a leading consultancy serving clients worldwide. They specialise in providing sustainable solutions throughout a variety of sectors specifically, data centre services and built environment services. Key Responsibilities: -Design, model, and analyse electrical power systems for reliability, efficiency, and safety. -Conduct load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and coordinate protection systems. -Lead power system projects from start to finish, working with cross-functional teams. -Provide technical expertise on power system challenges and develop solutions. -Collaborate with design teams to offer expert insights. -Maintain clear and accurate documentation for power system simulations and designs. Key Requirements: -Degree in power engineering or related field (MSc or PhD is a plus). -Solid experience in power systems engineering, preferably in the data centre industry. -Proficiency in ETAP; experience with DigSilent or SKM is also considered. -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. -In-depth knowledge of electrical networks, protection schemes, and system modelling. -Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is a plus. Our client is a multidisciplinary construction consultancy, focusing on the following sectors, commercial & retail, leisure, education, healthcare, industrial, heritage and many more. Key Responsibilities: -Manage and coordinate the delivery of construction packages from start to finish, ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are met. -Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to meet specifications and quality standards. -Monitor progress, resolve issues, and assist with procurement, tendering, and contractor selection. -Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. -Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and lead meetings with clients and senior management. -Manage project documentation, including contracts and specifications.
